ViroSafe Installation/Removal Instructions (SEE OTHER SIDE FOR REORDER INSTRUCTIONS)
The installation/removal of the ViroSafe Filters into Buffalo Filter Smoke Evacuator Systems is easy to perform.
Please follow these instructions for installing/replacing the ViroSafe filter:
1. Remove the ViroSafe Filter from the shipping box and remove any protective wrapping. Examine for
damage during shipping and storage. If damage is found, please contact the local shipper for damage
assessment.
2. Install filter into the filter basket of the smoke evacuation system. Be sure that the filter is seated
completely into the opening and that the filter is resting on the bottom of the basket.
3. Insert adapter or hose into round filter hose port. Be sure sealing is achieved. Add any other adapters,
wands, tubing, etc. to the distal hose end that will be needed to complete the installation.
Caution: If casual fluid is expected to be introduced into the ViroSafe Filter and/or smoke evacuation system, fluid
collection devices (BF P/N SCC1001) must be installed with the vacuum hose assembly. Failure to install a fluid
collection device could cause filter blockage and electrical damage.
4. Connect smoke evacuator electrical cord into available grounded 120V/60Hz (220/240V/50Hz
InternationaI) electrical outlet.
5. Proceed with the proper use of the smoke evacuation system and ViroSafe Fiter as outlined in the
Operator’s Manual.
6. After the ViroSafe Filter has been exhausted and requires changing, remove the ViroSafe Filter from the
smoke evacuation system and dispose of in accordance with local codes.
