Step 2 - Connecting Cables to the ADSL2+ Modem and Router

Power down the
computer wh
ich will be used to confi gure the router.
2.
Connect the supplied power adapter to the PWR port of your ADSL2+ modem,
and plug the other end to a power outlet. (Do not switch on the power)
3.
Plug the RJ-11 cable into the DSL port of the Modem and plug the
other end
into your DSL connection point.
4. Plug the RJ-45
Ethernet
cable to the Ethernet port of the Modem and plug the
other end to the WAN port of your router.
5. Screw the external antenna on to the top of the AirStation router.

The AirStation can be confi gured through a Wired or Wireless Connection.
If using a wi
reless Card or A
dapter

skip to point 7.
If
not using wireless:
P
lug the provided Ethernet cable into a LAN port on the
router
and plug the other end into your computer’s Ethernet adapter’s (NIC)
router and plug the other end into your computer’s Ethernet adapter’s (NIC) router
port.
7.
Power on your ADSL modem by pushing the power button on the back of the
device and wait one full minute.
8. Connect the supplied power adapter to the Airstation router, and plug the other
end into a power outlet and wait another minute
(If the red DIAG light on the
AirStation
is lit or fl ashing after four or more minutes of being powered on,
please consult Buffalo Technology Technical Support.)

Finally, power on the computer which will be used to confi gure the router.
