To
replace the battery:

Insert a coin into the notch near the key ring. Turn
the coin to the left (counterclockwise) to separate the
two halves of the transmitter.
Once the transmitter is separated, use a pencil eraser
to remove the old battery.
Do
not
use
a metal object.
Remove and replace the battery. Replace
it
as
the
instructions inside the cover indicate.
Snap the transmitter back together tightly to be sure
no moisture can enter.
Resynchronize the transmitter by pressing and
holding the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons for
about eight seconds. You must be within range
of
the vehicle. When the transmitter has been
resynchronized, the horn will chirp and the
headlamps, parking lamps and cornering lamps (if
equipped) will
flash
once.
Trunk Lock Release
To
unlock the trunk from the outside, insert the door key
and turn it to the right.
Remote Trunk Release
The TRUNK release button
is
on the instrument panel
to the left
of
the steering
column. The transaxle
must be in PARK
(P)
or
NEUTRAL
(N).
If
the remote trunk release button does not open the
trunk, make sure
the
remote trunk release lockout switch
in the glove
box
is in the on position.
