Press the (Set/Reset) button to choose English or Metric units. (Set/Reset) (if equipped): Press to set/reset certain functions and to turn off/acknowledge DIC messages. (Gauges) (if equipped): Press to display battery and oil life.

LaCrosse 2007 A.qxd 6 4/25/06 11:14 AM Page 6 Getting to Know Your LaCrosse Exterior Light Delay — Sets the time for exterior lights to remain on after the key is removed from the ignition or the vehicle is unlocked with the Remote Keyless Entry transmitter. To program: 1. From the Personal Program menu, press the (Option) button until EXT LIGHT DELAY is displayed. 2. Press the (Set/Reset) button to scroll through OFF or 15/30/60/90second delays. 3. Press the button to store a setting.

LaCrosse 2007 A.qxd 4/25/06 11:14 AM Page 7 7 Passenger Air Bag Status Indicator Your vehicle is equipped with a Passenger Sensing System located in the front passenger seat for the front passenger frontal air bag, and a passenger air bag status indicator located on the instrument panel center stack. Note: It is recommended that children not be placed in the front passenger seat, even with the Passenger Sensing System.

LaCrosse 2007 A.qxd 8 4/25/06 11:14 AM Page 8 Getting to Know Your LaCrosse Manual Climate Control To cool the vehicle interior more quickly on hot days, open the windows long enough to let the hot air escape. For maximum cooling: 1. Choose the coolest temperature setting. 2. Select the Vent mode. 3. Press the (Recirculate) button. 4. Press the (Air Conditioning) button. 5. Turn the (Fan) knob clockwise to its highest setting. To defog or defrost, select the (Defog) or (Defrost) mode.

(Air Conditioning): Press to activate or deactivate air conditioning. (Recirculation): Press to prevent outside air from entering your vehicle. Recirculation can be activated in Vent or Bi-Level mode, but not in Floor/Defog or Defrost mode. (Rear Window Defog): Press to clear the rear glass (it turns off after about 20 minutes).

Turn to increase or decrease. To adjust to the middle position, press and hold until it beeps. To adjust Balance, push and release until BAL appears. Turn the knob to move the sound toward the right or left. To adjust Fade, push until FAD appears. Turn the knob to move the sound toward the front or rear.

EQ (if equipped): Press to select customized equalization settings for C&W, Jazz, Talk, Pop, Rock and Classical music. To return to manual mode, press and release the Tone knob until MANUAL is displayed. (Eject): Press to eject a CD, with the ignition off or on, or the radio off. Load CDs with the ignition off by pressing this button first.

To find a CAT station: 1. Press the CAT button to activate Program Type (PTY) Select mode. 2. A category is displayed. 3. Rotate the Tune knob. When the preferred category appears, press the Seek button to go to the first category station (pressing Seek for more than two seconds will activate Category Scan). 4.

LaCrosse 2007 A.qxd 4/25/06 11:14 AM Page 13 13 Headlamp Controls and Automatic Headlamp System Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) DRL illuminates the low-beam headlamps at a lower intensity in daylight to make the front of the vehicle more visible to others. The DRL illuminates only the low-beam headlamps, not the taillamps or side marker lamps. See Section 3 of your Owner Manual. You will find the exterior lamps knob on the left side of the instrument panel.

LaCrosse 2007 A.qxd 14 4/25/06 11:14 AM Page 14 Getting to Know Your LaCrosse Windshield Wipers/Washer The windshield wipers/washer controls are located on the multifunction lever on the left side of the steering wheel. (Mist): For a single wipe, twist the band on the multifunction stalk down to this position and release. (Off): Twist the band to this position to turn off the wipers. (Delay): Twist the band up to set the delay time (the top of the band equals a shorter delay).

LaCrosse 2007 A.qxd 4/25/06 11:14 AM Page 15 15 Universal Home Remote (if equipped) The Universal Home Remote is a combined universal transmitter and receiver that can activate up to three devices, such as garage door openers, entry door locks, gates and security systems. It’s recommended that you read the instructions in your Owner Manual completely before attempting to program any of the three channels on the Universal Home Remote. The engine should be turned off when programming the remote.

LaCrosse 2007 A.qxd 16 4/25/06 11:14 AM Page 16 Getting to Know Your LaCrosse Deck (Trunk) Lid Tie-Down Use the deck lid tie-down to secure the deck lid when carrying oversize cargo that prevents the deck lid from closing completely. Observe all applicable safety precautions. See Section 2 of your Owner Manual. Load Floor (Spare Tire Cover) Cupholders On five-passenger models, the center console has a cupholder in its front section. A two-position arm adjusts to hold the cup securely.

Accessory Power Outlets Your vehicle is equipped with 12-volt power outlets. One is located on the center console below the climate controls. The second outlet is located inside the center storage console. On 6-passenger models, the second outlet is located in the flip/fold console. Use them to power cellular phones, CB radios, etc.

The ABS warning light illuminates briefly when the engine is started. Momentary motor or clicking noises and slight brake pedal movement are normal as the system checks itself when reaching speeds of approximately 3 to 5 mph. See Section 4 of your Owner Manual.

LaCrosse 2007 A.qxd 4/25/06 11:14 AM Page 19 19 Automatic Transaxle Shift Lock If the battery fails and it is necessary to move the vehicle, the Automatic Transaxle Shift Lock can be disabled to allow the transaxle to be shifted out of Park. Turn the ignition key to ACC position, and shift the transaxle into Neutral. With the car in Neutral, the vehicle can be pushed out of a confined area. See Sections 2 and 5 of your Owner Manual.
