8" Hooded Exterior Vent
Installation Instructions for B rick
-Brick Installation-
Step 1
Remove the trim ring from the Hooded
Vent Assembly. See Figure 1 below.

Step 2
With a sharp utility knife trim away the nailing
flange. See Figure 2 below.
Step 3
Align the Hooded Tube with the available
opening (Suggested hole size: 8 1/2" diameter.)
Place the vent flush or slightly past the outside
of the brick. Fill in the gaps around the tube with
mortar. See Figure 3 below.
Step 4
Continue up the wall placing brick as close as 
possible to the vent. See Figure 4 below.
Step 5
When the wall has had time to set, simply lock the
finishing trim ring into place. See Figures 5A and 
5B below.

Adaptor
Note: The aluminum tube shown in the
following illustrations is for reference only and
is not included. The 7" adaptor snaps in to the
back of the base and will adapt to a standard 7"
aluminum duct. When using 8" duct work
it is best to either cut off the 7" section of the 
adaptor using a hacksaw or discard it and 
assemble the duct to the base directly.
