2- The lower surfaces of the index and pawl
jewels
must be
parallel to their respec-
tive fingers, as shown in Fig- IS.
Correction of this alignment is rarely required.
It can usually be
accomplished, if necessary,
without
breaking the cement attach-
ing the jewel to the finger by exercising
watchmaking care- Grasp the finger with
tweezers, close Ira ihe jewel, and press lightly on the end of the jewel or
finger in
the proper direction with
Mgwood, to
correct the
alignment of
jewel
and finger.
