Every effort has been made to ensure your purchase is of top quality and proven design, ready to provide you and your family with many years and miles of happy, safe trailercycling. Bicycling with a trailercycle is different from bicycling without one. It is essential that you follow all safety guidelines, warnings, and instructions. Trailercycle Assembly IMPORTANT FOLLOW ALL ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS CLOSELY. 4 1. Mount pedals (stamped R for right and L for left) to corresponding crank arm and tighten. 2. With screw, mount reflector bracket on left seat stay. Fasten reflector to bracket with mounting screw. 3. Slide flag into bracket. 4. Piccolo only: Fasten splashguard to stem with two 6 mm bolts supplied with fender. 5. Insert seat post into seat tube. Tighten quick release lever.
Moose Rack Installation 1. Using washers and socket head screws, attach bottom of rack to holes in bicycle dropouts. 2. Position top of rack parallel to the ground. Check distance from stay mounting hole on Moose Rack to the bicycle’s seat stays. Figure A B A WARNING RACK MUST BE LEVEL. WHEN PULLING A TRAILERCYCLE, A NON-LEVEL RACK CAN ADVERSELY AFFECT BICYCLE HANDLING, RESULTING IN AN ACCIDENT OR SERIOUS INJURY. 3. Adjust rack stays to fit. Photo 3 4.
Hitching the Trailercycle to Your Bicycle 1. Slide lever to retract safety pins. Safety pin lever and safety pins must slide freely. Photo 6 2. Set hitch plate on rack and release lever to engage pins. 3. Push knob down and tighten fully. Photo 7 IMPORTANT KNOB MUST BE TIGHTENED AND SAFETY PINS ENGAGED BEFORE USE. DO NOT USE YOUR TRAILERCYCLE IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO SECURELY TIGHTEN KNOB OR GET FULL ENGAGEMENT OF THE SAFETY PINS.
Safety Checklist Note: Adult lead cyclist must weigh at least twice as much as trailing child Before Each Ride: l Maximum child weight 85 lbs./31.73 kg.
Burley Trailercycle Limited Warranty Burley trailercycles are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service. Burley will repair or replace parts it determines to be defective as follows: original equipment parts for a period of 180 days from date of purchase; and rack and hitch for five years from date of purchase. Frames have a limited lifetime warranty.
