5.2 Call waiting
With a call waiting, you can swap back and forth between two active calls or place both calls together for
a teleconference where the participants can all communicate with each other simultaneously.
An acoustic tone will sound if you receive another call during your current call. You can accept the call by
pressing the pushbutton or reject it by pressing the pushbutton.
If you accept the incoming call then the current call is switched over to call waiting and the waiting caller
will hear an announcement. The active participant is indicated by ✓ displayed on the screen. The
enhanced functions with the call waiting function can be found in the following table.
Select More > Connect to connect the calls together for a teleconference. If you receive another call
during a conference you can add this call to your conference (Go to conference) or switch between the
conference and the call partner (Change). The enhanced functions available during the teleconference
can be found in the following table.
Note
● The range of functions available during calls will vary as it depends on the mobile telephone network
and the mobile telephone.
● The current mobile telephone network only permits a maximum of two lines to be used for the
teleconference function.
When the call waiting function is active you can press the button to go to a menu with the following
functions:

All of the hands-free device’s functions can be controlled by touching the relevant button on the
touchscreen. If a mobile telephone is coupled with the hands-free system via a Bluetooth
®
connection, in
the main menu
Fig. 1 the buttons Voice control,  Music, Telephone book and More are
available. If a mobile telephone is not coupled with the mobile telephone integration system, in the main
menu
Fig. 2 , the buttons Voice control,  Music, Auto-connection and More are available.
The functions of the button Voice control can be found in the relevant chapter of these operating
instructions

Connect Combines the calls into a teleconference.
Keypad Calls up the keypad for replaying DTFM sounds. DTMF sounds are
required, for example, for calling up a mailbox or an answering
machine.
Private mode The hands-free function is deactivated and the call can be continued
using the mobile telephone. The active function is displayed.
Mute The hands-free system’s microphone is deactivated, e.g. so that you
can ask the passengers a question. The active function is displayed.
Hold Places the active call in a waiting loop.
Change
For swapping back and forth between a waiting call and active call.
Call up a memo Starts the recording of a memo. Press ■ to end.
Hang up an active call Ends the current call.
Hang up a waiting call Ends the waiting call.
