7 Voice control
The voice control system lets you control the hands-free device using spoken commands. This section
explains the important functions that can be accessed by voice commands.
The full functions of the voice control system are only available if the user data of the connected mobile
telephone have been fully transferred.
The Voice control can direct you through a few of the enhanced functions. If you are unsure which
command you can use from a specific menu, say Help
out loud and all of the valid commands will be
announced.
The Voice control has a "User training" mode that you can use to "accustom" it to your accent or dialect.
Start the voice control system by pressing Fig. 1 . Speak into the microphone after the tone.
Device announcements can be interrupted by briefly pressing the screen. Ensure that you always speak
clearly at the same speed when the system is memorising the voice commands. The voice control system
can also be started by the voice command Activate voice control
if "Magic word" has been activated in
the settings  More > Settings > Voice operation.
Say Cancel or touch the touchscreen anywhere to deactivate the voice control system. The system will
answer with "Cancel". The system will respond with a "Repeat voice" question after a long pause or if it
has not understood your spoken command. The voice command options will be listed for you after a brief
pause. The voice memorising process will be deactivated with "Process cancelled" if you do not give a
valid voice command and the process must be restarted.
7.1 Voice commands
The voice command associated with the menu will be displayed on the screen when the voice command
system is running. Universally valid voice commands can also be used (see Table). If you are not sure
which commands are available for use just say Help
for the command options to be announced.
The numbers zero
to nine are also recognised as voice commands. The numbers in a multiple digit
number must be spoken separately, e.g. 10 corresponds to the voice commands one
zero. The voice
command letters A
to Z and the NATO alphabet can be used to search through the phone book. The Plus
voice command can be used when entering a telephone number in a foreign country.
The valid voice command will be announced if you use an invalid voice command.
Universally valid voice commands for all menus:
The hands-free system gives you up to 150 of your own voice commands for making entries in the phone
book. The telephone book entries can then be called up directly from the voice control system’s main
menu using a voice command.
Use the touchscreen, for example, to select a phone book entry and then select Voice command. You
will be asked to record a voice command if one has not been assigned to the phone book entry. If a voice
command already exists then this will be repeated and a new one can be memorised, deleted or repeated
again afterwards.
Cancel
Cancels the current task and shuts down the voice control system.
Main menu
Returns to the voice control system’s main menu.
Back
Goes back one step.
Help
Announces all of the available voice commands.
