MAINTENANCE
GEARBOX
The gearbox should not require additional lubricant
unless the box is cracked or a seal is leaking. It is
recommended that the oil level plug be removed
after every 8 to 10 hours of operation and oil added
until it runs out Test Plug hole. The Test Plug is
located on the rear of the Gearbox. Filler Plug is
located on top of Gearbox.
The oil level is checked by removing the small plug
shown on the side of the outboard gearbox. The oil
should be level with the hole. The same is true for
the LH outboard gearbox (Not Shown).
The plug for the center gearbox is located on the
back of the gearbox.
The plugs on the top are breather plugs and it is
where you fill the boxes if needed.
Use EP80W-90 Gear Oil for all locations according
to instructions.
NOTE: Under no circumstances should the box be filled past the holes on the side of the boxes. Overfilling the
boxes could cause a buildup or pressure and blow out the seals.
ATTENTION: If the Gearbox suddenly starts making an unusual noise, stop at once, check for leaks, and refill
Gearbox as required.
Driveline Lubrication
Grease fittings are located on the Cross Assembly
of each U-Joint and on the telescoping tubes.
Grease the U-Joint after each 8 hours of use. Do
not force grease through the Needle Cup
Assemblies. Grease the telescoping tubes after
every 8 hours of us. To grease profile tube,
disconnect drive from PTO and pull halves apart.
Pump grease into outer profile tube and reinstall
together. Lube Slide Collar weekly with WD40 or
equivalent weight oil.
