Bushwacker only approves installing the Trail Armor according to these

written instructions with the hardware provided. WARNING: Failure to

install according to these instructions will invalidate the warranty. This

includes, but is not limited to using alternative installation methods,

hardware, or materials. DO NOT USE: Loctite, SuperGlue, or similar

products on the hardware or the ﬂ ares.

Fit: Verify the ﬁ t of the Trail Armor to vehicle. (Some ﬁ ling, sanding, or

cutting may be necessary to ensure proper ﬁ t).

Painting: (Optional) if paint is desired it must be done prior to

installing Trail Armor on vehicle. Clean outer surface with a good

grade degreaser. DO NOT USE LACQUER THINNER OR ENAMEL

REDUCER AS A DEGREASER. Wipe outer surface thoroughly with a

tack rag prior to paint. Application of plastic adhesion promoter for ABS

plastic as per your paint system manufacturer’s recommendations is

required. Paint Trail Armor using a high quality enamel, or polyurethane

automotive paint. If painting edge trim (not recommended), use a ﬂ ex

additive.

Importland Note: Ambient Temperature - During installation: the

vehicle, the parts, and the tape need to be between 60° and 110°F

for proper adhesion. Vehicle surface must also be wiped with alcohol

to remove dirt and grease, which may also affect adhesion. Failure to

maintain proper installation temperature and surface preparation may

result in the part not functioning correctly.

Rocker Panel Installation Procedures: 1 Wipe side of vehicle with alcohol wipe to remove grease and dirt. 2 Peel two to three inches of red vinyl backing away from edge trim tape. 3 Applying the adhesive side of the edge trim (GP10005) to the inner side of part, affix edge trim to the top edge of the part (the portion that comes in contact with vehicle).

7 Align three indents in each taped inner piece with three holes in parts. Tape attached to inner pieces should be facing away from the inside of the part. 8 Using supplied Torx bit (SW1-0022), start a screw/ washer (SW1-0032 / WA1-0007) through each pocket into the indent in the inner piece (4-5 turns). Do NOT tighten! 9 Remove red vinyl backing from tape pads. NOTE: Check part for engraved “14008R” or “14008L” prior to proceeding to the next step. The left part will go on the driver’s side.

13 Reinstall part as shown in Step 8, taking care that screws are snug. Do NOT overtighten, as the screws may strip out. 14 Attach underside edge of the Rocker Panel to the vehicle using supplied Tuflocs fasteners (RV1-P001), pressing Tuflocs through slots and into factory holes. 15 Using supplied Edge Trim Tool, seat top edge of edge trim first by hooking curved end under top edge at one open end and slide over entire top edge to the other end.
