"ifTable" without adding confusion to any SPECTRUM views. This also
eliminates the confusion caused by mixing physical and non-physical
interface models in the DevTop view. Additionally, customers now are
able to view the connectivity of both physical interfaces and non-physical
interface layers.
Monitor/Manage ATM Circuits Through SPECTRUM
The core interface configuration intelligence has been improved to better
handle the dynamic addition/removal of Serial and FrameRelay interfaces
on the modeled device by supporting RFC 2233.
SPECTRUM has expanded it's management of ATM networks by modeling
virtual links, supporting ATM WAN connectivity, and providing a view of
all ATM PVCs. This allows the user to:
Establish traffic thresholds for ATM PVCs.
View performance, configuration, and service information for each
PVC.
View a list of all managed PVCs at a glance.
Get accurate topology views of ATM WANs.
Generate alarms.
Map the logical ATM connectivity based on the ASCII file supplied by
the customer.
Additionally, the new ATM WAN modeling scheme provides better fault
isolation results than previous methods of modeling WAN connections.
NuTCRACKER No Longer Required for
SPECTRUM on Windows NT
SPECTRUM no longer requires the NuTCracker toolkit. SPECTRUM’s
stability, performance and maintainability has been improved in the
following ways:
