Solaris and Windows
directory paths
Unless otherwise noted,
directory paths are common
to both operating systems,
with the exception that
forward slashes (/) should be
used in Solaris paths, and
backslashes should be used
in Windows paths.
<$SPECROOT>/app-defaults
on Solaris is equivalent to
<$SPECROOT>\app-defaults
on Windows.
