The SPECTRUM Model
The model types for the SmartSwitch Router
devices are listed in Table 1 - Table 3. Once
modeled, the type of device is displayed in the
Device icon’s Model Type label. The Model Type
label is updated to indicate the SSR type e.g.,
SSR-8000 or SSR-8600.
Modeling results in the creation of Device icons
that represent the devices and Application icons
that represent their supported applications.
The Device icons contain double-click zones and
provide access to Icon Subviews menus that let
you perform device management activities such
as those listed in Tasks on Page 10.
As Figure 1 shows, the appearance of the Device
icons varies slightly depending on the kind of view
it appears in.
