EWA Monitor Application
Ethernet Monitor Table
You can access the Ethernet Monitor Table by selecting Monitor Table from
the EWA Monitor Icon Subviews menu.The Monitor Table displays the
following fields, described below:
Model Name
Displays the name for the hub device being modeled.
Mon ID
The relative slot number in an enclosure, starting with 1 (as numbered on the
enclosure).
Observed Object
The observed object type.
Mon Type
A monitor is applied to a counter or a gauge and the method of computing
Estimate Of Mean depends on the type of monitor.
Admin State
When this object’s value is changed to lock, monitoring is suspended and the
operational state is set to reserved; when the value is changed to unlock, the
operational state becomes active and monitoring resumes.
Oper State
The state of an instance of a monitor as represented by a row in this table.
Monitor Context Information View
You may access the Monitor Context Information View by double-clicking any
column entry in the Ethernet Monitor Table. The fields for this view are
described below:
Model Name
An attribute that uniquely identifies the monitor instance within the monitor
context.
Monitor Type
A monitor is applied to a counter or a gauge and the method of computing
Estimate Of Mean depends on the type of monitor.
Admin State
When this object’s value is changed to lock, monitoring is suspended and the
operational state is set to reserved; when the value is changed to unlock, the
operational state becomes active and monitoring resumes. This object
assumes a default value of lock whenever an object is initialized; this allows
initialization objects to be either set or reset.
