The time required to perform a CTPurge™ operation depends on the capacity of the drive and
the type of purge operation that is being performed. The host should ensure that power to the
card/drive is maintained for the entire duration during the purge process. The following table
lists some typical numbers that can be expected.
The power consumption during a CTPurge™ operation is also dependent on drive capacity, the
type of purge operation requested and, to a lesser extent, the particular overwrite pattern used.
