The ideal frost protection solution for moist or cold environment
applications where equipment needs to stay above freezing.
Featuring corrosion-resistant construction, the steel housing
protects the tubular stainless steel element. Low watt density
reduces surface temperature, and a built-in safety shutoff makes it
perfect for low-clearance locations like crawlspaces. A large wiring
compartment makes installation in tight locations simple and
quick.
ARCHITECTURAL - ENGINEERING INFORMATION
Frost Protection heaters are UL listed, factory rated at 120V and dual rated from
208V to 240V. Element is stainless steel sheathed calrod element with channel
shaped aluminum ns. A full length capillary sensor tube is an integral part of
each unit. Heater is made of 20 gauge steel and contains a grounding screw. All
metal pieces are nished with a powder coat paint system.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
All Frost Protection heaters include a built-in thermostat with a temperature
range of 40˚F to 85˚F starting at the second smallest dot. The heater will not
operate if set to the smallest dot on the dial. A wall thermostat may not be used.
These models work best at elevations under 10,000 feet.
Do not block the inlet vents on the bottom surface of the heater. There must be
a minimum of 3 inches (7.6 cm) below the bottom vents and 12 inches (30.4 cm)
above the top vents for proper airflow and heating. The sides of the heater may
rest directly against adjacent surfaces.
All models require hardwire installation (no cord or plug) onto a rigid, non-
combustible surface.
