How often do I have to clean my heater
and how do I clean it? How can I clean my
product?
For optimal use, the heater should be cleaned
at least every 6 months or as required.
Refer to Owner’s Guide Page 8 for cleaning
instructions.
Where can this heater be installed?
The UCH heater is intended for installation
in a recessed area such as the kickspace of
a cabinet in the Kitchen, Bathroom, Laundry
Room, RV, or the first step of a staircase. Refer
to the Owner’s Guide (pp. 4-6) for complete
detail and required minimum clearances.
Can it be installed under a cabinet set on a
carpeted surface?
Installing the heater on a carpeted surface is
not recommended.

Does this product need to be on a dedicated circuit?
It is recommended to have a dedicated circuit for electric heaters. Refer to local electrical and
building codes, or consult with a licensed/certified electrician to meet the safety requirements in
your region.

What are the wall cut out dimensions?
For installation in an existing wall/cabinet, cut a rough
opening 20-1/8 inches (51.1 cm) wide by 3-1/2 inches
(8.9 cm) high. Opening must be at least 10-1/2 inches
(26.7 cm) deep.
The UCH Series heater REQUIRES A MINIMUM
distance of 6 inches (15.2 cm) from adjacent surfaces. Heaters must be spaced at least 3 feet
(0.9meters) apart. Refer to Owner’s Guide for complete detail.
Can this unit be connected to a wall switch instead of a thermostat?
This unit is required to be installed with a thermostat. Refer to Owner’s Guide for complete detail on
the installation of the unit and a wall or built-in thermostat.
Do the heaters require a thermostat?
Yes. A thermostat is required for all fan heaters. An electronic or mechanical wall thermostat is
recommended and can be purchased separately. A built-in thermostat kit, model UCHT is also
available to purchase separately.
