The DIC messages will be shown on your instrument panel cluster display. To operate the DIC, the ignition switch must be on. Page 5 DIC Buttons The DIC buttons are located on the left side of the audio system.

(See Remote Vehicle Start.) (Lock): Press this button to lock all the doors and the tailgate. If enabled through the Driver Information Center (DIC), the parking lamps will flash once and/or the horn will chirp to indicate locking has occurred.

Power Seat: Use the control (A) to move the seat forward/rearward and up/down as well as to raise/lower the front or rear of the seat cushion. Power Recline: Use the control (B) to recline/raise the seatback.

The system automatically adjusts the airflow mode, fan speed, air conditioning and recirculation functions to reach the set temperature(s) as quickly as possible. Automatic Operation To set the automatic mode: 1. Press the AUTO button. 2.

Turn the knob to adjust the volume. Page 9 (Tune): Turn this knob to select radio stations. Press the knob to enter the radio main menu and access functions such as tone adjustment, speaker fade/balance and equalization settings. BAND: Press this button to select AM, FM1, FM2, XM1 or XM2.

Looking away from the road for prolonged periods may cause you to miss seeing things on the road that you need to see.

If more than one CD is inserted into the slot at one time, or if scratched or damaged CDs are played, the CD player could be damaged. When using the CD player, use only CDs in good condition without labels; load one CD at a time; and keep the CD player and the loading slot free of foreign materials, liquids and debris.

This button is also used for OnStar hands-free phone and voice recognition commands for your Navigation radio. See your Owner Manual for operating instructions. XM SATELLITE RADIO XM Satellite Radio offers more than 150 channels of digital-quality sound that goes wherever you go — coast to coast.

Adjust volume using the radio volume control. To listen to the DVD through the headphones, select channel 1 and push the power button on the headphones. Escalade EXT 2007 A.qxd 3/9/06 9:08 AM Starting the Vehicle To remote start the vehicle: 1. Aim the RKE transmitter at the vehicle. 2. Press and release the (Lock) button on the transmitter. 3. Immediately press and hold the (Remote Vehicle Start) button for about four seconds. 4. When the vehicle starts, the parking lamps will light and remain on while the engine is running. 5. Repeat these steps for a 10-minute time extension.

For proper system operation, avoid placing any objects on or near the sensor. Exterior Lamp Controls (Headlamps): Turns on the headlamps and other exterior lamps. Additional lamp controls include: (Dome Lamp Override): Press this button to turn the dome lamps on or off when doors are open.

The control band can be rotated to the following settings: (Mist): Activates one wipe. (Off): Turns the wipers off. (Rainsense Sensitivity Levels): The position closest to Off is the lowest sensitivity level, which allows more moisture to collect on the windshield between wipes.

The Midgate enables the length of the vehicle’s cargo area to be substantially extended. Midgate Components The Midgate can be lowered with the rear window in place or while the window is secured in the Midgate storage pocket. To lower the Midgate with the rear window in place: 1. Fold the rear seats. (See Folding the Rear Seats.) 2.

Squeeze, pull down and release the latch levers located near the upper corners of the rear window. The glass-catch release button will prevent the rear window from falling forward. 3.
Escalade EXT 2007 A.qxd 3/9/06 9:09 AM CARGO COVERS The threepiece cargo cover system can be configured to meet your cargo-loading and security requirements. To remove the cargo panels: 1. Unlatch each panel by pulling each handle located underneath the panel toward you. The forwardmost panel (near the cab) has four latches; the middle panel and rearmost panel (near the tailgate) have two latches. 2. Slide out each panel. When reinstalling the panels, they must be placed in the correct order.

When the system is turned off, the StabiliTrak indicator light will illuminate in the instrument panel cluster. Press the button again to turn the system back on.
