Estimated “After-Tax” Payment
Buyers in the 28% income tax bracket
want to finance a $150,000 mortgage for
30 years at 9.75% interest. If they pay
$1,500 in annual property taxes and $350
in annual insurance, find the estimated
“after-tax” monthly payment.
Note: This
“after–tax” payment is an estimation because
it does not include tax variables pertaining to
an individual’s tax situation, different tax
laws, etc. When figuring accurate/detailed
tax information, consult a tax specialist.
