Connections Using Earphones Turn down the volume before connecting the earphones. Slowly raise the volume with the earphones on until you reach your desired volume. When earphones are connected, the speaker is automatically muted. DC:9V 1000mA AUX Update Port Long-term exposure to loud music may cause hearing damage. It is best to avoid extreme volume when using earphones, especially for extended periods of time.
Mains Power • This unit is designed to operate with a DC 9V 1A power supply. • Connecting the unit to any other power source may damage the unit. Unwind the cable to its full length. Connect the end of the cable to the DC IN Socket at the rear of the unit then connect the mains ly inserted into the mains socket. The unit is now connected and ready to use. • To switch the unit off completely, unplug the mains adapter from the mains socket.

Factory Reset Sometimes you may need to reset your unit to the factory default. If you experience reception problems, you can reset and try again. Secondary Services A “ ” symbol after the name of the primary station indicates there are secondary services available to that station. These secondary services are related to the primary station, e.g. a sports station may want to add extra commentaries. The secondary services are inserted directly after the primary station in the station list. To select the secondary station, turn the SNOOZE/SCROLL/SELECT SNOOZE/SCROLL/SELECT ends, the unit will automatically switch back to the primary station.

DLS (Dynamic Label Segment) Dynamic Label Segment is a scrolling message that the broadcaster may include with their transmissions. The message usually includes information, such as programme details etc. Signal Strength The display will show a slide bar indicating the signal strength: the stronger the signal, the longer the bar will be from left to right. Programme Type This describes the “Style” or “Genre” of music that is being broadcast e.g. “Rock” or “Classical”.
FM Operation Press the MODE button on the unit or the remote control repeatedly to select FM mode. Auto Scan To search for an FM station, press the SCAN button to start the auto scan. The display will show “Scanning ...” . Once a station has been found, the scanning will stop automatically. FM Display Modes Every time you press the INFO button, the display will cycle through the following display modes: Radio Text, Programme Type, Frequency, Audio Mode, Time and Date.
