Chapter 2: System hardware Ethernet cabling
Lightning protection unit (LPU) and grounding kit
PTP 700 LPUs provide transient voltage surge suppression for PTP 700 installations. Each PSU
or Aux drop cable requires two LPUs, one near the ODU and the other near the linked device,
usually at the building entry point (Table 24).
