Test radio link
If the radio link is not working, or it is unreliable, or the data throughput rate is too
low, perform the tests specified in this section. It may be necessary to test the ODUs at
both ends of the link.
No activity
If there is no wireless activity, perform Procedure 7-15.
Procedure 7-15 Testing an inactive radio link
1
Check for Alarm conditions on Home page.
2
Check that the software at each end of the link is the same version.
3
Check that the Target Mac address is correctly configured at each end of the
link.
4
Check Range.
5
Check Tx Power.
6
Check License keys to ensure that both units are the same product variant.
7
Check Master/Slave status for each unit and ensure that one unit is Master
and the other unit is slave.
8
Check that the link is not obstructed or the ODU misaligned.
9
Check the DFS page at each end of the link and establish that there is a quiet
wireless channel to use.
10
If there are no faults found in the configuration and there is absolutely no
wireless signal, retry the installation procedure.
11
If this does not work then report a suspected ODU fault to Motorola.
