This chapter describes all configuration and alignment tasks that are performed when
a PTP 250 link is deployed.
Before proceeding with unit configuration and antenna alignment, observe the
precautions described in Preparing for configuration and alignment on
page 6-2.
Configure the two units, one as ‘Master’ and the other as ‘Slave’ by performing the
following tasks:
• Connecting to the unit on page 6-3 describes
how to connect a PC to the unit,
power it up and open the web interface.
• Upgrading firmware version on page 6-10 describe
s how to ensure that the latest
firmware version is installed on the unit.
• Using the installation wizard on
page 6-14 describes how to configure the LAN,
wireless, date and email attributes of the unit.
When all equipment has been installed at both link ends, perform the following tasks:
