just connected is shown – if it is the first device connected, it is named
EXT_HDD_1 (the second is named EXT_HDD_2).
RENAME THE DEVICE
To give the device a more easily recognizable name:
1 Type a new name in the Name field.
2 Click SAVE.
MONITOR DISK USAGE
To keep track of the amount of space available on an external storage
device, follow the steps below:
1 Log into the Command Center.
2 Click Sharing and then click the Setup External Hard Drive icon to
display the Attached USB Devices page (
FIGURE 8-1).
3 Locate the device. The following information is shown:
• Total amount of space on the device
• Amount of space currently in use
• Amount of space currently available for use
• Percentage of space currently in use
