Lt Safety Precautions
1.
Do
not
look directly
at
the
sun
or
any
other
strong light source
through
this lens
or
through
a camera
with
the
lens attached as this could
cause
damaged
eyesight. Take particular care
not
to look directly
at
the
sun
through
the
lens
alone as this can cause blindness.
2.
Do
not
leave
the
lens
or
an
SLR camera
with
the
lens
mounted
in
direct
sunlight
with
the
lens cap
removed. This is to
prevent
the
lens from
magnifying
the
sun's
rays,
which
could
cause
fire.
1. Mounting and Dismounting
Mounting Onto the Camera
Refer to
your
camera's instructions for information
on
mounting
and
dismounting
the
lens.
When
dismounting
the lens,
put
the
lens
down
with
the contacts facing
upwards
to
avoid
damage
to
the
contacts
or
the
lens surface.
Soiling, scratches
or
grease
on
the
contacts can
cause contact defects
or
corrosion,
preventing
the
camera
and
lens from
operating
normally.
If
there is soiling
or
grease
on
the
contacts,
wipe
them
with
a soft cloth.
Always fit
the
dust
cap after
dismounting
the
lens. To fit the
dust
cap, align
the
lens
mount
index
on
the lens
with
the
D indicator
on
the
dust
cap as
shown
in
Figure 0
and
then
turn
the
dust
cap clockwise. To
remove
the
dust
cap,
use
the
same
procedure
in
reverse.

guards
the front

the
