1. Mounting and Dismounting
Mounting Onto the Camera
1) To remove the rear dust cap, turn it
counterclockwise until it stops,
then pull it up
O.
2) Align the red dot on the lens with the red dot
above
the camera mount 8-@. Then turn the
lens clockwise until
it stops with a click 8-@.
3) Remove the front lens cap.
• Be sure to keep the lens' electronic contacts clean
to ensure
proper connection.
Be sure to keep the lens surface clean for correct
autofocus.
Dismounting
To dismount the lens/hold in the lens release
button on the camera and turn the lens counter-
clockwise until it stops. Then
pull the lens off e.
• Be sure to place the lens with its front end down
to avoid damaging the electronic contacts.
2. Selecting the Focus Mode
To use the autofocus mode, slide the focus mode
switch to AF O.
Manual focusing is not possible unless the switch
has first been set to MF (M).
•
On the EF 75-300 mm f/4-5.6II/II1 and EF 90-300
mm f/ 4.5-5.6 only, the manual focusing ring is
the ring at the front end of the lens.
• Do
not touch the manual focusing ring on the
lens
during autofocusing.
•
When the optional hood is fitted to the EF 80-200
mm f/4.5-5.6II lens, focus by rotating the hood.
•
When focusing manually, always set the switch
to MF
(M) before rotating the manual focusing
ring.
3. Zooming
Turn the zooming ring for zooming to the desired
focal
length 0.
• Do not change the focal length after focusing the
subject.
4. Aperture Setting
Set the aperture by turning the camera's electronic
input dial.
The
aperture changes according to the focal length.
However, special operation is not required since
the camera automatically reads the aperture
changes.
5. Hood (sold separately)
The hood guards the front part of the lens against
rain, snow,
dust and stray light which may cause
flare
and ghost images. Engage the hood
attachment tabs on the lens with the tabs on the
hood and turn the hood in the direction of the
arrow to secure it to the lens 0.
• The hood can be reverse-mounted for storage e.
6. Filter (sold separately)
The filter screws onto the front of the lens.
•
Only one filter can be used for one lens.
•
When using a polarizing filter, use the Canon
Circular Polarizing Filter PL-C. Autofocus is
possible.
• The lens length
is measured from the mount to
the front of the lens. For the total lens length,
including the lens
cap and dust cap, add 17 mm
to the listed dimension.
• The size
and weight listed are for the lens only,
and do not include the hood, lens cap, or other
accessories.
•

1. Montage
Montage de I'objectif
1) Pour enlever Ie bouchon arriere, Ie tourner dans
Ie sens inverse des aiguilles jusqu' ace qu'il
s'arrete,
puis Ie retirer O.
2) Aligner la saillie de positionnement rouge de
I' objectif avec Ie repere rouge au-dessus, de la
monture du boitier 8-@. Puis tourner l'objectif
dans
Ie sens des aiguilles jusqu' a ce qu'il
s'arrete en prod uisant un dic 8-@.
3) Enlever Ie bouchon avant.
• Pour
assurer un bon contact, garder les contacts
toujours propres.
Pour
une mise au point automatique correcte,
garder la surface d' objectif toujours propre.
Depose
Pour enlever l'objectif, Ie tourner dans Ie sens
inverse des aiguilles
jusqu' a ce qu'il s'arrete, tout
en appuyant sur Ie bouton de deblocage de
l'objectif, puis Ie retirer e.
• Toujours poser l'objectif sa face contre la table
afin
de ne pas endommager les contacts
electroniques.
2. Selection du mode de mise au
point
Lorsque Ie mode autofocus est desire, deplacer Ie
selecteur: autofocus/manuel a la position AF O.
11 n'est pas possible de proceder a une mise au
point manuelle tant que Ie commutateur n' a pas
ete au mis au prealable en position MF (M).
• La
bague situee a l'extremite avant de 1'0bjectif
est la
bague de mise au point manuelle dans Ie
cas de I'EF 75-300 mm f/4-5,6II/III et de I'EF 90-
300
mm f/ 4,5-5,6 uniquement.
• Ne pas toucher la bague de mise au point
manuelle de l'objectif pendant la fonction
autofocus.
• Lorsque
Ie pare-soleil en option est monte sur
I'EF 80-200 mm f/4,5-5,6II, Ie tourner pour mettre
au point.
• Lors
de la mise au point manuelle, toujours
mettre Ie commutateur en position MF (M)
avant de tourner la bague de mise au point
manuelle.
3. Zoom
Tourner la bague de zoom et varier a la distance
focale desiree
0.
• Ne pas changer la distance focale, une fois Ie sujet
mis
au point.
4. Reglage de I'ouverture
RegIer l' ouverture en tournant la molette de
selection de l'appareil.
L'
ouverture varie selon la distance focale.
Cependant, ceci ne pose aucun probleme puisque
l' appareillit l' ouverture et la corrige
automatiquement.
5. Pare-soleil (vendu separement)
Le pare-soleil protege la partie avant de l'objectif
de la pluie,
de la neige, de la poussiere et de rayons
directes de la lumiere, qui peuvent provoquer des
images floues ou secondaires. Mettre les languettes
de l'objectif et celles
du pare-soleil en prise et
tourner Ie pare-soleil dans Ie sens de la fleche pour
Ie fixer sur l'objectif 0.
• Pour Ie rangement, Ie pare-soleil peut etre monte
a l'envers e.
6. Filtre (vendu separement)
Le fiItre se visse dans Ie filetage avant de l'objectif.
• Seulement un filtre peut etre utilise pour un
objectif.
• Lorsqu'
on utilise un filtre de polarisation, utiliser
Ie fiItre Canon de polarisation circulaire PL-C.
L'autofocus est possible.
• La
longueur de I'objectif est mesuree de la
monture a l' avant de l' objectif. Pour obtenir la
longueur totale de l'objectif induant Ie bouchon
de l'objectif et Ie bouchon pare-poussiere,
ajoutez 17
mm a la dimension indiquee.
• Les dimensions et
Ie poids ne concernent que
l'objectif et n'incluent pas Ie capuchon, Ie
bouchon d'objectif, ou d'autres accessoires.
