Preventing the Red-Eye Reduction Lamp from
Lighting Up
Still Images
Movies
You can deactivate the red-eye reduction lamp that lights up to reduce
red-eye when the ash is used in low-light shots.

Access the [Flash Settings] screen.
z Press the [ ] button, choose [Flash
Settings] on the [ 5] tab, and then press
the [ ] button.

Congure the setting.
z Choose [Red-Eye Lamp], and then
choose [Off].
z To restore the original setting, repeat this
process but choose [On].

Customize shooting functions on the [ ] tab of the menu screen as

Preventing the AF-Assist Beam from Firing

Movies
You can deactivate the lamp that normally lights up to help you focus
when you press the shutter button halfway in low-light conditions.
z Press the [
] button, choose
[AF-assist Beam] on the [ 3] tab, and
then choose [Off].
z To restore the original setting, repeat this
process but choose [On].
