Manual Exposure
You
can set both the shutter speed and aperture as desired. With flash, the
flash exposure will be set automatically to match the aperture that was set.
The flash sync speed can be set at bulb, or from 30 sec. to 1/200 sec.

Set the Mode Dial to <M>.
Set the shutter speed and
aperture.

the
shutter
speed, turn the
<B>
dial.

To
set the aperture, hold down the
<
Av~
> button and turn the < B > dial.
Set the exposure and take the
picture.
• Press the shutter button halfway
to
focus.

The exposure level indicator
in
the
viewfinder indicates the exposure level
up to ±2 stops from the standard
exposure index at the center. While you
change the shutter speed and aperture,
the exposure level mark will move.
You
can decide which exposure level to set.
In
step
2,
turn the dial left to set
<BU
LB>. A bulb exposure keeps
the shutter open for as long as you hold down the shutter button. It can be
used to photograph fireworks, etc. If you press the
<DISP.
> button during
the bulb exposure, the elapsed exposure

will be displayed.
