Lock*
FE
lock locks the flash exposure setting over the desired area
of
the
subject. This feature also works with external EX-series Speedlites.
* FE stands for Flash Exposure.
1 Press the <

> button to pop-up
the built-in flash.
fJ Press the shutter button halfway and
look
in
the viewfinder to check that
the
<~>
icon
is
lit.
Focus the subject.
Press the
<*>

Aim
the
viewfinder
center
over
the
subject
where
you
want
to
lock
the
flash
exposure,
then
press
the
<*>
button.

The flash will fire a preflash and the
required flash output
is
calculated
and retained
in
memory.

In
the viewfinder, "FEL"
is
displayed
for a moment and
<
~
*> will light.

Each
time
you
press
the
<*>
button,
a
preflash
is
fired
and
the
required
flash
output
is
calculated
and
retained
in
memory.
Take the picture.
e Frame the shot and press the shutter
button completely.

The flash is fired to take the picture.
