Chapter 5 Administrator Settings
1. Administrator Settings
In “Administrator Settings”, you can configure the following settings.
a User Administration (See “User Administration” on
p. 102.)
Register and manage the users of the ScanFront and restrict
the functions available to users.
b Address Book Settings (See “Address Book Settings”
on p. 114.)
Register and manage entries in Shared Address Book
available to all users.
c Job Button Settings (See “Job Button Settings” on
p. 118.)
Register and manage Shared Job Button available to all
users.
d Device Configuration (See “Device Configuration” on
p. 125.)
Configure the settings of the ScanFront scanner.
e Server Settings (See “Server Settings” on p. 129.)
Configure the mail server settings for sending e-mail from
the ScanFront, settings for using an authentication server
compatible with a directory service, settings for using an
address book server compatible with LDAP, and settings
for using a function that transfers a scan result log during
transfer to the FTP server.
f System Settings (See “System Settings” on p. 135.)
Configure the following settings for managing the
ScanFront.
Backup and restoration of all ScanFront settings
Confirmation of ScanFront version information
g Show Operation History
Specify a User Name to browse its operation history.
Hint
When history is selected and [Detailed info] is pressed, detailed
history information is displayed.

Configure the login screen and display language settings,
perform a network test, and configure the password and
mail address settings for the administrator.
