Checking Ink Status from Your Computer

You can check the remaining ink levels and supported FINE cartridges.

When you select Ink Level Information from the Canon IJ Printer Utility2 pop-up window, an illustration

showing the status of the ink appears.

Estimated ink levels

You can check the types and levels of ink.

When ink levels are running low or an error occurs because there is no ink, a notification icon will

appear.

If you place the cursor on the FINE cartridge, it will display the ink model number and the ink levels.

Note

• Click to check which FINE cartridges the printer uses.

• Click Update to display the current remaining ink level.

• Notices about the remaining ink levels are indicated by an icon above the ink level image.

Example:

The ink is running low. Prepare a new ink cartridge.
