For
fully
automatic
selection
of
the
optimal
settings

scenes

simply let
the camera determine the subject and shooting conditions.

1 Turn the camera on.
Press the power button.

Enter
[AUTO]
mode.
Set
the mode
dial
to
[AUTO].
Aim the camera
at
the subject. The
camera
will
make a
slight clicking noise
as it determines the scene.
Icons
representing the scene and image
stabilization mode are displayed
in
the
upper left
of
the screen
((1J28).
Frames displayed
around any detected
subjects indicate that they are in focus.

Compose the shot.
To
zoom in and
enlarge
the subject, move
the zoom lever toward
[t]
(telephoto),
and to zoom away from the subject, move
it toward
l1illD
(wide
angle).

To
zoom
in
or
out quickly, move the zoom
lever
all the way toward
[ t]
(telephoto)
or

(wide angle), and to zoom in

out slowly, move it

desired direction.
