CREATE ARRESTING MOVING IMAGES
The High Dynamic Range (HDR) Movie function in both cameras
automatically combines alternating frames of contrasting exposures into
a single movie for optimal results, balancing exposure and preserving
details in highlighted areas. Both cameras come with Time-lapse Movie*
function with improvement made on the EOS 77D that allows automatic
adjustment of exposure according to the scene brightness.
FIND THE RIGHT EXPOSURE
Both cameras are fitted with a 7,560-pixel RGB+IR
sensor capable of flicker, colour and near-infrared light
detection. This enables consistent and accurate exposure
in any lighting conditions. It also detects skin tones and
prioritizes focus on human subjects within the frame.
SEE MORE WITH THE INTELLIGENT VIEWFINDER
The Intelligent Viewfinder on the EOS 80D boasts a
viewfinder coverage of approx. 100% while the EOS 77D’s
approx. 95% viewfinder coverage allows you to frame
your shot as you intended. The display indicates an array
of information such as AF frames, grid settings, electronic
level and flicker detection, taking out any guesswork while you
concentrate on getting the best shot.

Equipped with up to 45-points all cross-type AF system that is
spread densely across the entire frame, both EOS 80D and EOS 77D
spare no eort in tracking and capturing moving subject with
remarkable precision. Engage any of the four focusing area selection
mode that is appropriate to the scene for even faster AF action.

With an impressive 24.2 megapixel APS-C sized CMOS sensor, the EOS 80D and
EOS 77D ensure every shot you take captures all the minute details and rich colour
tones. Powered by DIGIC 7 imaging processor, the new EOS 77D has an extensive
dynamic range from ISO 100 to 25600 for beautiful results with low noise even in
low-light environment.
NEVER MISS A MOMENT
With a continuous shooting speed of approx. 7 fps for EOS 80D
and approx. 6 fps for EOS 77D, capturing subjects moving at great
speeds can be done with ease. Every single shot retains the full
24.2 megapixels of details, making sure the exact moment is
presented in perfect clarity.

DESIGNED FOR INTUITIVE HANDLING
Similar to high-end models, both cameras are fitted with a top
LCD for quick and convenient checking of camera settings such as
shutter speed, aperture, ISO speed, exposure level, battery life and
Wi-Fi function. The EOS 77D’s compact and lightweight body also
spots a Quick Control Dial that provides quick selection of camera
settings and image search.

UNLEASH THE POWER OF DUAL PIXEL CMOS AF DAF
Made possible with DAF, the new EOS 77D achieves the world’s fastest AF
focusing speed of 0.03 sec.* DAF on EOS 80D and EOS 77D provides excellent
autofocusing speed and accuracy in both Live View and movie shooting.
During movie recording, DAF allows for intuitive, seamless focus switching
and precise subject tracking performance, all at a touch of your finger.
Each effective pixel is
comprised of two photodiodes.
