Zooming
When an EF Cinema lens compatible with zoom adjustment (A 207) is attached to the camcorder, you can
operate the zoom using the camcorder or the optional RC-V100 Remote Controller (A 106).
Required settings on EF Cinema lenses
To operate the zoom from the camcorder when using a compatible EF Cinema lens, you will need to enable
automatic adjustment using the controls on the lens. Required settings vary depending on the lens. Refer to the
following table and the instruction manual of the lens used.
1 Enable automatic adjustment on the lens.
2 Open the grip unit's zoom [Setting] submenu.
[v Camera Setup] > [Camera Grip Zoom] > [Setting]
3 Select [On] and then press the joystick.
4 Open the grip unit's zoom [Speed] submenu.
[v Camera Setup] > [Camera Grip Zoom] > [Speed]
5 Select the desired zoom speed and then press the joystick.
You can select one of 16 constant speeds (1 is the slowest, 16 is
the fastest).
6 Push the grip unit's joystick up/down to zoom in/out.
NOTES
When an optional RC-V100 Remote Controller is connected to the
camcorder, you can adjust the zoom with the remote controller's
ZOOM dial.
When using slower zoom speeds, it may take time for the lens to
start zooming.
