In the <a> mode, you can manually set the shutter speed, aperture,
and ISO speed for movie shooting. Using manual exposure to shoot
movies is for advanced users.

Set the power switch to <k>.
X The reflex mirror will make a sound,
then the image will appear on the
LCD monitor.

Set the Mode Dial to <a>.

Set the ISO speed.
Press the <g> button and press
the <Y> <Z> keys or turn the <6>
dial to select the ISO speed.

next page.

Set the shutter speed and
aperture.
To set the shutter speed, turn the
<6> dial. The settable shutter
speeds vary depending on the frame
rate.
• 5 4 : 1/4000 sec. - 1/25 sec.
• 6 : 1/4000 sec. - 1/30 sec.
• 7 : 1/4000 sec. - 1/50 sec.
• 8 : 1/4000 sec. - 1/60 sec.
To set the aperture, turn the <6>
dial while holding down the <g>
button.
