Using the Built-in Flash

In
the
same
way
as
normal
exposure
compensation,
you
can
set
exposure
compensation
for
ftash.
You
can
set
flash
exposure
compensation
up
to
±2
stops
in
1/3-stop
increments.

Set
the
exposure
compensation
amount.
While looking at the LCD panel
or
viewfinder, turn the < 0 > dial.
To
cancel the flash exposure
compensation, set the flash exposure
compensation amount back to
<;
>.
When you press the shutter button
halfway, the

> icon will be displayed
in
the viewfinder and on the LCD panel.

it to [3: Disable] if you
want
to
obtain
the
best
results
of
the
exposure
compensation
setting.
If
you
set
flash
exposure
compensation
with
both
the
EX-series
Speed
lite
and
camera,
the
Speedlite's
flash
exposure
compensation
setting
will
override
the
camera's.
If
you
set
EX-series
Speed
lite's
flash
exposure
compensation
with
the
Speedlite,
any
flash
exposure
compensation
set
with
the
camera
will
be
overridden.

The
exposure
compensation
amount
will remain in effect even
after
you
set
the
power
switch to < OFF>.
The
procedure
is
the
same
when
using an
EX-series
Speedlite.
The
Speedlite's flash
exposure
compensation
can be set with the camera.
