7. Tips on Using the Image Stabilizer
Use the image stabilizer for taking photographs under following conditions.
CD Stationary subjects (still-life photography)
® Subjects taken at dusk, or indoors, that are dimly lit.
® Where flash photography is forbidden.
@)Subjects that cannot be captured with a fast shutter speed.

•• • The image stabilizer operates even if you stop after pressing the shutter button halfway.
l... •Do not remove the lens while using the image stabilizer. !
! • Do not set the image stabilizer switch to on I when using the camera on a tripod. Doing so may cause the image stabilizer:
! to operate erratically. Turn the image stabilizer off O. before using the camera on a tripod. !
: • For bulb exposure photography, turn the image stabilizer off. 0 to prevent erratic operation. :
! • With the EOS SO/SOE, EOS ELAN II/ELAN liE, E08IX, IX Lite, and IX 7 using the self-timer will disable the image stabilizer. !

i CD Subjects that are moving rapidly. ® Photographs taken from a moving vehicle. I
