Infinity Compensation Mark
To
compensate for shifting of the infinite focus arising from changes
in
temperature, the distance scale can
be
rotated slightly past the normal infinity
focus mark.
To
ensure accurate focus, look through the viewfinder and check the focus before
shooting.

Infrared Index (Not available for all cameras)
The figures
in
red
above the distance scale are the infrared index. The infrared
index
is
used when black-and-white infrared film is used. After achieving focus,
shift the current distance setting of the distance scale to the infrared index mark.

! - The position of the infrared
index
is based on a wavelength
of
800
nm.
The position :
: of the infrared index may differ slightly depending on the infrared film used. We :
! recommend that you take several shots and shift the distance setting to slightly !
! different positions each time. !
:
-Infrared
film is not recommended for same EOS cameras. Check your camera :
: instruction manual.
