Tv Shutter-Priority AE
In this mode, you set the shutter speed and the camera sets the
aperture value automatically to suit the subject brightness A fast
shutter speed can freeze the motion of a fast-moving subject and a
slow shutter speed can blur the subject to give the impression of
motion.
* <Tv > stands for Time value which is the shutter speed.

^ Turn the Mode Dial to <Tv>.

Select the desired shutter
speed.
• Turn the <fSs> dial.
• The shutter speed can be set in
half-stop increments.

Focus the subject.
The aperture value is set
automatically.

Check the viewfinder display
and take the picture.
If the aperture value display is not
blinking, a correct exposure wiii be
obtained.

• If the maximum aperture value blinks, it indicates
underexposure. Turn the <^2l> dial to set a
slower shutter speed urrtil the blinking stops.
If the minimum aperture value blinks, it indicates
overexposure. Turn the <iSt> dial to set a faster
shutter speed until the blinking stops.
Shutter Speed Display
The shutter speeds from “ SODD ” to “ i' indicate the denominator of
the fractional shutter speed. For example, “ liS " indicates 1/125
sec. Also, “0"T ” indicates 0.7 sec, and “ 15"" indicates 15 sec.
