Saving and Loading Camcorder Settings
After you adjust settings in the various menus, you can save those settings in the camcorder or on an SD card.
Only SD card B can be used to save and load camcorder settings files. You can load those settings at a later
date or on another XF705 camcorder so that you can use that camcorder in the same way.
Saving Camcorder Settings
1To save the camcorder’s settings on an SD card, insert a card into the camcorder’s SD card slot B.
2 Select [Save].

3 Select [To Camera] or [To SD Card B] and then press SET.
4 Select [OK] and press SET.
• The camcorder’s menu settings will be saved to the selected destination. If menu settings were previously
saved, the old file will be overwritten by the current menu settings.
5 When the confirmation message appears, press SET.
Loading Camcorder Settings
1 To load menu settings from a card, insert the card with the desired camcorder settings file into the
camcorder’s SD card slot B.
2 Select [Load].

3 Select [From Camera] or [From SD Card B] and then press SET.
4 Select [OK] and press SET.
• The camcorder’s menu settings will be replaced by the settings saved on the selected source. Then, the
screen will turn black momentarily and the camcorder will restart.
NOTES
• The following menu settings and any passwords that were set by the user are not saved with this operation.

• When menu settings are loaded with this operation, even protected custom picture files in the camcorder will
be replaced.
• Camcorder settings files are exclusively compatible for use only with XF705 camcorders.
