Chromatic aberrations (color fringing along the subject’s outline)
due to the lens characteristics can be corrected. If [Enable] is
set, the corrected image will be displayed. If the eect is dicult
to discern, magnify the image (p.341).
[ ] Diraction correction
(p.113)
The diraction by the lens aperture degrading the image
sharpness can be corrected. If [Enable] is set, the corrected
image will be displayed. If the eect is dicult to discern, magnify
the image (p.341).

Processing RAW images in the camera will not produce exactly the
same results as processing RAW images with Digital Photo Professional
(EOS software).
o
If you perform [Brightness adjustment], noise, banding, etc. may be
intensied with the eects of adjustment.
o
When [Digital Lens Optimizer] is set, noise may be intensied together
with the eects of correction. Image edges may also be emphasized.
Adjust Picture Style sharpness or set [Digital Lens Optimizer] to
[Disable], as needed.
o
The lens correction data for lens aberration corrections is registered
(stored) in the camera.
o
The eect of the lens aberration correction varies depending on the lens
used and shooting conditions. Also, the eect may be dicult to discern
depending on the lens used, shooting conditions, etc.
