Cautions for the <SCN> Modes
q
: Group Photo
o
The angle of view changes slightly, due to distortion correction.
o
Depending on the shooting conditions, focus may not be attained for everyone
from the front to the back of the image.
3
: Landscape
o
The built-in fl ash will not fi re, even if it is raised when you shoot.
o
Speedlites will not fi re either, if used.
5
: Sports
o
Under low light where camera shake tends to occur, the shutter speed value in
the lower left will blink. Hold the camera steady and shoot.
o
Using a fl ash will decrease the continuous shooting speed.
C
: Kids
o
Continuous shooting speed is slower when a fl ash fi res during continuous Live
View shooting. The camera keeps shooting at the lower continuous shooting
speed even after the fl ash stops fi ring.
r
: Panning
o
The shutter speed will become slower. Therefore, this mode is not suitable for
any shooting except for panning.
o
<
o
> or <
M
> cannot be selected.
o
Flash photography is not possible.
o
Although lens IS is applied to images captured with lenses supporting <
r
>
mode, the eff
ect is not shown in the viewfi nder or on the screen as you shoot.
(IS and subject blur correction are activated when you shoot, r
egardless of the
lens IS setting.)
o
If the lens does not support the <
r
> mode, subject blur will not be corrected.
However
, the automatic shutter speed adjustment alone will take eff ect
according to the setting of
[Eff ect].
o
When shooting under bright light such as a sunny summer day or when
shooting a slow subject, the set degree of panning eff
ect may not be obtained.
