Selecting the Output Range
You can select the output range of video signals output from the various terminals to determine how the image
levels are mapped to code values. Moreover, you can select the setting independently for Canon Log output and
for HDR output.

Monitoring Setup] > [Range: SDI OUT], [Range: MON.] or [Range: HDMI].
2 Select [During Canon Log Output] or [During HDR Output] > Desired option.
Repeat the procedure as necessary to select the output range for other terminals or output signals.
Options for [Range: SDI OUT], [Range: MON.]
[Full Range]: The signal output will use full range coding.
[Narrow Range]:
The signal output will use narrow range (video range) coding.
Options for [Range: HDMI]
[Full Range Priority]:
The signal output will use full range coding whenever possible but will change the range
automatically according to the capabilities of the connected monitor.
[Narrow Range]:
The signal output will use narrow range (video range) coding.
NOTES
Settings will change depending on the gamma curve component of the [Gamma/Color Space] setting in the
custom picture file. When a LUT is applied, settings will change also depending on the gamma curve selected
for the output signal. If a user LUT is applied, the output range will be determined by the user LUT’s [Range
(Output)] setting.
