Turning
on
the
Power
Checking the Battery Level
When the power switch is set to <
ON
>, the battery level will be
indicated
in
one of six levels: A blinking battery icon
(9:)
indicates
that the battery will be exhausted soon.

@ Battery Grip BG-E7 approximately doubles the number of possible shots with
two LP-E6 batteries installed. With size-AA/LR6 alkaline batteries, the number
of
possible shots at 23°C 173°F
is
approx. 400 shots without flash use and
approx. 300 shots with 50% flash use.

The number
of
possible shots will decrease with any
of
the following
operations:
• Pressing the shutter button halfway for a prolonged period.
• Often activating only the AF without taking a picture.
• Using the LCD monitor often.
• Using the lens Image Stabilizer.
• The lens operation is powered by the camera's battery. Depending on
the lens used, the number
of
possible shots may be lower.
