Select the Still photo shooting button (1).

Set the lens's focus mode switch to <AF>.

Display Live View image.
You can toggle between showing and hiding Live View by selecting the
Live View shooting button (26).
To make Live View image display more responsive, select the Live
View image quality switching button (27) and lower the Live View
image quality. To restore the original quality, select the button again.
