k Shooting Movies
You can manually set the shutter speed, aperture, and ISO speed for
movie shooting. Using manual exposure to shoot movies is for
advanced users.

Set the Mode Dial to <
k
>.
X The reflex mirror will make a sound,
then the image will appear on the
LCD monitor.

Select [Movie exposure].
Under the [o] tab, select [Movie
exposure], then press <0>.

Select [Manual].
Select [Manual], then press <0>.

Set the shutter speed and
aperture.
To set the shutter speed, turn the
<6> dial. The settable shutter
speeds depend on the frame rate
<9>.
• 8 / 7 :
1/4000 sec. - 1/60 sec.
• 6 / 5 / 4:
1/4000 sec. - 1/30 sec.
To set the aperture, hold down the
<O>
button and turn the
<6>
dial.

Set the ISO speed.
Press the <Z> button and use
either <6> or <U> key to select
the ISO speed.
• Auto ISO setting: ISO 100 - 6400
• Manual ISO setting: ISO 100 - 6400
