2 Slide the feed rollers to right.
3 Completely close the roller cover so that it clicks into place.
Make sure to close the roller cover so that it clicks into place.
Failure to securely close the feed cover will cause document feed
problems.
4 Close the feeder cover.
Detaching and attaching the separation pad
When replacing the separation pad, perform the following steps to
detach it from and attach it to the unit.

1 Open the feed tray.
2 Open the feeder cover.
3 Remove the separation pad.
