3 Remove the jammed document from the feed side or eject side.
4 Close the feeder cover.
After you remove the jammed paper, check to see if the last page was
scanned correctly, and then continue scanning.
Clearing a Card Jam
If a card is inserted into the slot at an angle, the card may jam during
scanning.
If a card jam occurs, try pulling the card out, or open the feeder cover to
remove the card.
When opening the feeder cover to remove a jammed card, open the cover
slowly. Opening the feeder cover too wide will put pressure on the card
and may damage it.
Carefully pull out the document without using excessive force. If the
jammed paper tears, make sure that you remove any remaining pieces.
Make sure the document does not get caught in the card guides as well.
