7 Wipe the removed rollers with a cloth that has been
dampened with water and thoroughly wrung out.
8 Reattach the retard roller and feeding roller. (See p. 67,
p. 67)
9 Close the upper unit by gently pushing down on the left
and right sides. Push until it clicks into place to make
sure that it is completely closed.
10 Close the document feed tray.
Adjusting the Reduction Ratio
As the rollers installed in the scanner wear out, scanned images may
become stretched in the vertical direction. If this happens, you can
reduce the amount of stretching of the image by adjusting the
reduction ratio.
1 Start Windows and log in as a user with administrator
privileges.
2 Click the Start button, and then click [All Programs],
[Canon DR-M140], and [Canon imageFORMULA Utility].
imageFORMULA Utility starts.
